A Ballyshannon pub welcomed one of the largest GAA personalities for a pint this weekend.

All-Ireland winner and former RTÉ pundit, Joe Brolly, popped into O’Donnell’s Bar in Ballyshannon for a quick drink.

It was a big weekend for GAA in Ballyshannon, as Fr Tierney Park in Ballyshannon hosted the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship semi-final between Derry’s Glenullin, and Strokestown of Roscommon.

A social media post by O’Donnell’s Bar read: “Had the pleasure of meeting this GAA legend today. Joe Brolly, what an absolute gentleman.

“He and his friends heard about how good the pints were in ODs and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

“They said when leaving that all the talk was well-deserved.”
