Letterkenny woman to pay €180 fine plus costs for Donegal Town parking offences

Woman fined for two parking offences at Donegal Town

A Letterkenny woman was fined €180 plus ordered to pay €276 in costs for two separate parking offences in Donegal Town, on consecutive days.

Angela Connors, of 7 Neil T Blaney Road, Letterkenny, was, on two occasions, found to be the registered owner of a motor vehicle parked without displaying a valid parking ticket in the manner required by Article 7 of the Donegal County Council (Donegal Town Car Parks) Bye-Laws 2004, contrary to Article 7(f) of the said Bye-Laws and Section 101(7A) and (7B) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961.

The defendant did not appear at Donegal District Court at Ballyshannon Courthouse, and Judge Éiteáin Cunningham was satisfied to proceed in her absence.

Judge Cunningham fined Ms Connors €80, plus costs of €138 for an offence at No.2 Car Park, Donegal Town, on July 24, 2025. She then fined Ms Connors €100, plus costs of €138 for the second offence at No.3 Car Park, Donegal Town, on July 25, 2025. 

Ms Connors was given four months to pay by Judge Cunningham.

The combined fines and costs for the two offences totalled to €456.
