Ballyshannon Courthouse
A Ballyshannon woman was fined €250 and ordered to pay €138 in costs for having a vehicle which failed to display a valid road licence.
Linda Lawn, of 55 Cluain Barron, Ballyshannon, was found to be the registered owner of a motor vehicle which was on August 26, 2025, parked at No.1 Car Park, Donegal Town, without a current road licence displayed in contravention of Section 5(5) of the Road Traffic Act, 1920, contrary to Section 73(i) and Section 76 (as amended by Section 63 of the Finance Act 1993) of the Finance Act 1976 and thereby committing an offence under the act.
The defendant did not appear at Donegal District Court at Ballyshannon Courthouse, and Judge Éiteáin Cunningham was satisfied to proceed in her absence.

Judge Cunningham fined Ms Lawn €250 for the offence, plus ordered her to pay €138 in costs.
Ms Lawn was given four months to pay the fine and costs by Judge Cunningham.
The combined fine and costs for the offence amounted to €388.
