Letterkenny University Hospital
The public are being advised not to attend Letterkenny University Hospital Emergency Department this evening unless absolutely necessary.
A spokesperson for the hospital's management team said that the hospital was very busy this afternoon, with more than 30 patients awaiting admission.
“Patients attending the hospital’s Emergency Department this evening can expect long delays and we apologise to patients and their families for these delays,” the spokesperson continued.
“We would like to remind the public to attend the Emergency Department only in the case of real emergencies and they should contact their GP or GP Out-of-Hours service in the first instance,” he concluded.
