Naomh Conaill celebrating Donegal success last year
Today is a big day for the four remaining clubs in the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Donegal Senior Championship.
Yesterday (Saturday) was something of a blue day with the Dubs once again stumbling to another All-Ireland win against Mayo, while in Donegal the blue of Milford did something similar against Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon.
Burt, better known for hurling, made history by also making the Intermediate final, where they will meet Milford in the final on Sunday next.
But the action today in Donegal will focus on O'Donnell Park and MacCumhaill Park. There will be no blue to be found in O'Donnell Park as Glenswilly will be favourites to defeat Malin in the first semi-final at 2.30, but there will be plenty of blue in MacCumhaill Park (with a little gold and white) when the big clash of Kilcar and Naomh Conaill takes place at 6 p.m.
At least we are guaranteed a north-south final. Can Naomh Conaill reach another final, or will Kilcar finally make the breakthrough after 23 years?
