The Office of Public works (OPW) is holding a public consultation day on draft flood risk management plans in Lifford next Thursday, October 13th.
The National Catchment-based Flood Risk Assessment and Management (CFRAM) Programme is currently producing a comprehensive flood risk assessment focused on 300 areas of potentially significant flood risk.
Draft Flood Risk Management Plans set out the preferred feasible measures to manage significant flood risk.
The public consultation Day will be at The Old Courthouse, The Diamond, Lifford between 2pm and 7pm.
The event will cover the Lifford, Castlefinn, Killygordon,Convoy, Ballybofey, Stranorlar and Raphoe areas.
The draft flood plans set out the preferred feasible measures which are being proposed to manage significant flood risk in areas.
This is the final phase of public consultation on the programme and the OPW says it wants to give people the opportunity to comment on the draft flood plans before they are finalised.
