A young Burtonport man making waves as a magician was named the Irish Magician of the Year at a special awards ceremony in Dublin.
Dylan Murray, from Keadue in Burtonport picked up the award at a special function in Dublin recently.
The award was presented at the International Achievers and Recognition Awards Show which were held at the Hilton Hotel, in Dublin.
It was a night of double success for the 19-year-old from the Rosses who only posted his first video on social media two years ago.
Dylan, who is also a mentalist, won the 'Ireland’s Most Popular Act' award on the night.
“It’s an incredible feeling and hard to believe. It is only two years since I started out by posting a video on social media,” said Dylan.
Dylan dedicated his awards to his late grandfather Padraig Murray, who inspired him as a child.
“It was a great night and a fantastic feeling when I was first named the Magician of the Year and then the Most Popular act award.
“The reaction I have received from family and friends and on social media since has been unbelievable.
“It is obviously a huge boost to my career and I am now planning on taking the show all over island in the coming months."
Dylan is due to start his own show on Donegal Bay Radio Station in the near future and he is looking forward to taking to the airwaves.
