Spot flooding on many roads, major and minor across Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo this morning is making conditions for motorists hazardous.
East Donegal and parts of Inishowen have been worst hit, with roads in the Castlefin area particularly prone to the flooding with an issue in Inishowen exacerbated by a blocked drain pipe.
Traffic on the N13 nearing Drumkeen is slowing down as motorists negotiate a considerable surge of water on the main road close to a landmark Marian shrine.
In north Leitrim there were reports of spot flooding on many minor roads while motorists driving between Dromahair in Leitrim and Sligo town were reporting floods on what's known locally as "The Long Stretch".
Gardaí have urged motorists to take great care and to expect the unexpected as spot flooding is by its nature, just that.
