Ryan McHugh - In top form for Donegal against Cork
It was a good day for Donegal in Cork with a number of players putting in top class performances.
Here are the ratings for the Donegal players
SHAUN PATTON: One or two kick outs went astray. A shade unlucky for the goal as he made a great stop initially. 6.5
STEPHEN MCMENAMIN: A commanding performance from the Red Hughs man who is beginning to make a defensive berth his own. 7
EAMONN DOHERTY: Did a reasonable marking job on Luke Connolly but otherwise was on the fringes. 6.5
EOGHAN BAN GALLAGHER: Put in a very good shift. Not all of his runs came to fruition but he never shirked his responsibilities. 7
CAOLAN WARD: Hit a point and could have had another. Had trouble early with Hurley but did better when released to the half-back line. 6.5
LEO MCLOONE: Another very strong performance from the Naomh Conaill man. Got caught a little for pace for the Cork goal, but otherwise one of Donegal's top performers. 7.5
RYAN MCHUGH: Involved from start to finish. Was one of the Donegal men to stand out. 8.5
HUGH MCFADDEN: A big 70+ minutes from the Killybegs man, who covered a lot of the field and got forward more than usual. 8
CAOLAN MCGONAGLE: Did very well in breaking ball for Donegal, but also had a few misplaced passes. 6.5
NIALL O'DONNELL: Niall's best display in a Donegal shirt. Got caught in possession early on but worked his way into the game and was magnificent in the second half. 8
CIARAN THOMPSON: A much improved display, Thompson was involved in a great intercept near the end and also kicked a good point. 7
PAUL BRENNAN: In after the late withdrawal of Michael Langan, Brennan picked up a yellow card and was replaced before half-time. 6
OISIN GALLEN: Worked really hard and got on a lot of ball. Kicked a good point and will be happy with his display. 7
MICHAEL MURPHY: Scored one magnificent point with his left and was impeccable from placed balls. 8
JAMIE BRENNAN: Hit 1-2 and it could have been 2-4. Missed two good points off his left. Will have to get lessons off Murphy. 7.5
DÁIRE Ó BAOILL: In for his first start, the Gaoth Dobhair man put in a massive display. Apart from his two points, his pass for McFadden's point was the highlight of the game. 8.5
PADDY MCGRATH: In for his 100th game for Donegal, the Ardara man looked at home and made a number of timely interceptions. 7
EOIN MCHUGH AND NEIL MCGEE: Not on long enough to rate.
