Brexit protests to be held in Donegal
Two protests against Brexit will be taking place in Donegal today, the day afternoon the UK had been due to leave the UK.
Border Communities Against Brexit (BCAB) has organised the protests, which will take place at various locations along the border at 3pm.
In Donegal the protests will take place at Lifford Bridge and Bridgend.
Sinn Féin Senator Padraig MacLochlainn has voiced his support for the Border Communities Against Brexit (BCAB) Protests, which will take place at various locations along the border tomorrow at 3pm.
The Donegal-based Senator said: “I would encourage everyone to make their way to the border this weekend in protest against Brexit. Brexit poses a huge threat to jobs, our border communities, and the two economies on this island.
“A majority of people in the North voted to Remain and the Tories along with the DUP are ignoring this democratic mandate. Our rights, economy and agreements must be protected.
"The antics on display at Westminster show clearly the complete disregard the British Government has for Ireland, especially our border communities. Join us tomorrow and take a stand against Brexit.”
Protests will also take place at Old Dublin Road, Carrickcarnon, Belcoo-Blacklion, Aghalane, Moybridge, Aughnacloy.
