Dylan Browne McMonagle landed his first winner in Hong Kong on Sunday.

The 2025 Champion Jockey guided Flow Water Flow to a narrow win in the Triathlon Handicap over one mile in Sha Tin.

Browne McMonagle steered his mount (42/10) to a win by a short head over The Golden Night, the 33/10 favourite.

About two furlongs from home, Browne McMonagle and Flow Water Flow seemed hampered, but he made good ground for the victory.

The Letterkenny native was crowned Champion Jockey in Ireland after claiming 95 winners in 2025.

He also took Willie Mullins’ 25/1 chance Ethical Diamond to a stunning win in the Longines Breeders Cup Turf at Del Mar in California. It’s just over six years ago since Browne McMonagle rode for the first time under rules, placing second on Harvey Specter at Gowran Park in September 2019.

Browne McMonagle was the Champion Apprentice in 2021 and 2022, but in 2025 toppled reigning champion and six-time Champion Jockey Colin Keane to land the big title.

He partnered Al Riffa to win the Irish St Leger.
