Annual blessing of bikes taking place in Burt this Sunday

Bikers who lost their lives in the past year will be remembered at a Mass in Dungiven and the event will include the  presentation of a collection to the RNLI at Ned’s Point 

Annual blessing of bikes taking place in Burt this Sunday

The event will take place at St Aengus’s Church in Burt on Sunday, September 7 at 1.30pm

The annual blessing of bikes in Burt is taking place this Sunday.

The event will begin when Fr Gerry Sweeney will celebrate Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven, at 11:30am, remembering and praying for all deceased bikers. 

All bikers are welcome to come to the Mass and any biker who has died in the past year will be remembered at the Mass. Names of the deceased can be sent to Fr Sweeney at gerardsweeney@ymail.com.

After the Mass in Dungiven, the bikers will make their way to Burt for a short prayer service and blessing at St Aengus’s Church at 1.30pm.

After the blessing, there will be the usual collection for the RNLI Station at Ned’s Point, and the bikers will then make their way to Ned’s Point to present the collection and enjoy refreshments.
