Celebrate the joy of Easter with a fun-filled afternoon of family-friendly activities and community spirit at Carn’s Barrack Hill Town Park on Monday, April 21.
Carndonagh is gearing up for a fantastic Easter Trail event this Bank Holiday Monday, with families, children and community members invited to enjoy the arrival of spring with a host of egg-citing activities!

Organised by the Barrack Hill steering committee, the annual celebration from 12pm to 2pm promises something for everyone.
“The Barrack Hill steering committee is committed to enhancing life in Carndonagh through events that inspire connection, joy and community spirit,” explained chairperson Carmel Doherty.
The Easter Trail kicks off at 12pm at the community gardens, guiding families through a path filled with engaging lawn games, family-friendly yoga with Julie, and even some special guests, including the friendly alpacas from Wild Alpaca Way!
And of course, the Easter Bunny will be there too to greet young adventurers.

Adding to the atmosphere, the Carndonagh Brass Band will perform live, filling the park with music and cheer. For younger children, Maeve Byrne will host a musical session in The Daisy, ensuring the little ones are also entertained.
Refreshments will be available, with face-painting and rock-painting activities also.
“This Easter Trail is part of our mission to bring the community together and encourage outdoor fun and bonding. It’s a wonderful chance to reconnect with friends, enjoy nature and celebrate Easter in an inclusive way,” added Carmel.
