Peaceplus project ‘Pride Not Prejudice’ to be launched in Letterkenny

The launch of 'Pride not Prejudice' will take place at the Port House, Letterkenny

A PeacePlus project, ‘Pride not Prejudice’, will be launched in Letterkenny this evening.

'Pride not prejudice' focuses on transforming the relationships between travellers, Roma, black minority ethnic communities and the majority population.

The programme will see the delivery of training in recognising and countering discrimination, racism and prejudice to 110+ youth and adult participants in the Letterkenny-Milford MD, including workshops and events, all of which will align with Donegal Travellers Project's strategic plan 2021-2026.

The launch will take place at the Donegal Travellers Project office situated in the Port House by Councillor Paul Canning, Chair of the Peaceplus Partnership. It will be attended by staff of the Donegal Travellers Project, Roma Project, Peaceplus County Council staff, affiliated community organisation staff, and guest speaker David Friel, ATU, Letterkenny.
