Uisce Éireann is recommending that customers allow three to hours after the estimated restoration time for supply to fully return.
Repair works to a water mains is expected to cause supply disruption to parts of Letterkenny on Monday.
Uisce Éireann says the works, which are part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, may cause supply disruption to Ard O'Donnell, Letterkenny and surrounding areas.
Works are scheduled to take place from 10am until midday on October 13.
