Donegal gardaí have shown their support for Honorary Garda TJ McDaid, who is appearing on tonight’s Late Late Toy Show special.
Garda Annemarie McGrath and Garda Brenda Healy visited Drumkeen girl TJ, who is a Little Blue Hero, to wish her all the best for the show. Five-year-old TJ will proudly represent Donegal in the county parade.
TJ was born with severe spina bifida meningocele. She has bravely overcome the odds and has been undergoing intense physiotherapy in Hungary in her bid to walk. A campaign called ‘TJ’s Wish to Walk’ has been running for the last few years to raise funds for her medical trips.
An Garda Síochána Donegal said: “H/Garda TJ will be a fantastic representative for Donegal and for the Little Blue Heroes and we will all tune in to watch our little colleague shine brightly like the superstar that she is!”

The Late Late Toy Show airs tonight at 9:35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
