Gardaí are investigating an assault and car theft in Letterkenny at the weekend which left a man requiring hospital tratment.
The assault took place in the Long Lane area of Letterkenny at approximately 4.50am on Sunday.
Gardaí say a man in his 50s was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Gardaí believe a car was stolen following this assault. A Garda spokesman said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
