New social housing development and community park for Lifford nears completion

Donegal County Council manager, Olivia Gallen, gave an update on the development at January's meeting of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District

Works are almost complete on a major new social housing development and community park for Lifford.

'The Common' will provide two sports pitches, floodlighting and car parking in an area on the N14 close to the town’s Applegreen service station. The €2.5 million multi-use park project also includes 60 social housing units and an enterprise park.

Donegal County Council manager, Olivia Gallen, gave an update on the development at January's meeting of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District (MD).

“The Lifford multi-use park is almost ready,” she said. “Two industrial use sites are available at a size of approximately six acres each. If anyone is interested in the purchase of a site, please contact Daniel McChrystal, Senior Economic Development Officer.”
