The late Gary Foy who 'gave generously his time' will be laid to rest tomorrow

The Requiem Mass will take place at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, on Tuesday

Gary had been a long-time PRO of the Donegal League

The late Gary Foy from Ballybofey will be laid to rest tomorrow. 

Gary was best known in football and photography circles, combining his two loves and often seen at various grounds around the county and was a regular at Finn Park. 

The Requiem Mass will take place at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, on Tuesday. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Webcam. Family have requested that the house be private on the morning of the funeral. Cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, at 3pm

Gary was a native of Glencovitt and passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, February 6. He was a beloved husband of Carmel, much-loved father of Catherine (James), Conor (Eilish), Sian (Shane), and Ciaran (Niamh), dearly loved grandfather of Odhran, Cadhla, and Eabha. Predeceased by his father, John Foy.

Gary had been a long-time PRO of the Donegal League, Ballybofey United and the East Donegal Schoolboys, as well as being the secretary of the Ulster Clay Target Shooting Association and founder of Clayshot Magazine. 

Several clubs in east Donegal have paid tribute to Gary and acknowledged his contribution, such as Drumoghill FC, Lifford Celtic, Ulster Clay Target Shooting Association, Clayshot and Donegal Junior League, who said Gary "gave so generously of his time for the good of others"
