A fishing boat that lost power has been towed to safety by a Lough Swilly RNLI vessel.
A lifeboat was launched after 10.30am on Sunday after a request from Malin Head Coast Guard to come to the assistance of the small fishing vessel.
The fishing boat had lost power after a rope got caught up on its prop. The crew established a tow and took the boat to Rathmullan.
The call-out was the first one of 2023 for volunteers at Lough Swilly RNLI.
The RNLI at Lough Swilly has reminded the public that anyone that is in difficulty in difficulty in or on the water, or sees someone in trouble, to dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
