"It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of The Busy Bee. Unfortunately, continuing rising costs from VAT to electricity to gas, etc. has made it impossible for us to continue.

"We want to thank our wonderful customers, many of whom we have gotten to know well over the past year - we thank you for your support and custom. We shall miss the catch-ups and the smiling faces!

"Also, a special word of thanks to our dedicated staff! We have built up a brilliant wee team, with each one of them willing to go that extra mile for us. We will take away lasting friendships and memories of good times!"

The added they will close at 4pm every day this week, with doors closing for the final time on Friday, September 8. They also ask anyone with outstanding vouchers to call in before Friday and use them up.
