Akie O'Donnell, 13 Willowbrook, Letterkenny
The death has occurred, in the Donegal Hospice, of Akie O'Donnell, 13 Willowbrook, Letterkenny and formerly Crievesmith, Letterkenny. 

Sadly missed by his loving wife Alison, loving and devoted father to Kieran, Alex, Connor and John and grandfather to Joshua.

Reposing at the family home in Crievesmith, Letterkenny from 11am-10pm on Tuesday, October 31. 

Wake open to family and friends. 

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 1, at 12 noon in St Eunan's Catherdal, Letterkenny, with burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.

Family only on the morning of the funeral, please.

William James (Billy) Davis, Drumadoan, Glenmaquin, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of William James (Billy) Davis Drumadoan, Glenmaquin, Letterkennny at Brindley Manor Nursing Home, Convoy on Sunday October 29 2023. Deeply missed by his cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours. 

Billy is predeceased by his parents William and Catherine and his brother Sammy. At rest.

Billy’s remains will be reposing at Samuel James and wife Dorothy Eatons' residence at Glenmaquin F92 D8Y2 from 12 noon until 10pm on Tuesday October 31.

Funeral leaving there at 1.15pm on Wednesday November 1, going to Ray Presbyterian Church, Manorcunningham for Funeral Service of Thanksgiving at 2pm.  Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. 

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Alzheimer Association Donegal Branch c/o any family member.

Danny (White Tam) Friel, Gortnatra, Kerrykeel

The death has occurred of Danny (White Tam) Friel, Gortnatra, Kerrykeel.
Predeceased by his parents John Patrick and Margaret, brothers John Patrick Jnr, Michael and James and sisters Bridie and Margaret Rose.

Deeply regretted by his daughters Sinead (Letterkenny), Ciara (Letterkenny) and Kellie (Australia), their mother Josie and his partner Sylvia Purcell and family. 

Sadly missed by Ciara's husband Noel Mc Elwaine and their children Amy, Ryan and Ruairí, and Kellie's partner Max Houssenloge and their son Jack.

Deeply missed by brother Eamon (Gortnatra) and sister Mary Clinton (Lagboy, Tamney), by James' wife Sheila, Mary's husband Shaun Clinton, his nephews and nieces David, Pamela, Caroline, Aisling, Denis, Shaun Paul (Johnny), Mark, Vanessa, Nadine, Shane, Kelly and Daniel, his extended family, neighbours and his large circle of friends. May He Rest In Peace.

Wake is taking place at his home today Tuesday, from 3pm to 10pm. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy, on Wednesday November 1 at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Yvonne McGarrigle, Dinglei Coush, West End, Bundoran
The death has occurred of Yvonne McGarrigle, 9 Ellesmere Court, Dinglei Coush, West End, Bundoran, October 30, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home.

Beloved daughter of the late Michael and Rita McGarrigle and sister of the late Brendan (Skip).

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her loving family, her sisters Aideen and Marie (husband John Gormley), her brother John (wife Geraldine), her beloved nephews Jonathan, Ciaran and Neil, grandnephews and grandnieces and all her many relatives, neighbours and great friends. May Yvonne Rest in Eternal Peace.

Reposing at her late residence on Tuesday, October 31 from 5pm to 7pm and on Wednesday, November 1, from 5pm to 7pm. All welcome. House private to family at all other times, please.

Removal from her late residence on Thursday morning, November 2, at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, burial afterwards in St. Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran.

Paddy McGlynn, Ardeskin, Donegal Town
The death has occurred of Paddy McGlynn, Ardeskin, Donegal Town, F94 E0W7 and formerly of Garbhán, Glenfin.

Predeceased by his loving wife Annie. Loving father to Patrick (London), Kevin (Mairéad), Joanne (Des), Jacqueline, Peter (Dublin), Aiden (Peru). Grandfather to Áine, Joseph, Paddy, Cormac, Ailbhe, Brendan & Kathleen. Great-grandfather to James Emily, Claire & Laura. Sadly missed by his sister Brigid & brother-in-law Peter.

Removal from Mc Ginty’s funeral home, Letterkenny last evening, via The Reelin Bridge and Glenfin Street, Ballybofey.

Paddy’s remains will repose at his late residence in Ardeskin, today Tuesday from 11am until 9pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, with burial immediately afterwards in Clar, Graveyard.

John Morrow, Donegal Town 

The death has occurred of John Morrow, 15 O'Cleirigh Avenue, Donegal Town.
Reposing in Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Donegal Town Business Park, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, Tuesday, October 31, from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral Service in Donegal Parish Church, Wednesday, November 1 at 2pm, followed by burial in the Old Abbey Graveyard, Donegal Town.

Jacqueline Travers (née Price), Mountcharles

The sudden death has occurred of Jacqueline Travers (née Price) Creevins, Mountcharles and formerly of Mullinasloe, Laghey. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughters, Amanda (Bryan), Susan, her sons, Seamus (Jenny), Stephen and Eammon, grandchildren, Jonathan, David, Peter, Joseph, Katie, Alex, Liam, Karl, Gareth and Dylan, her brothers and sisters, Brendan, Nora, Claire and David. 

May She Rest In Peace. Remains will be reposing at her late residence in Creevins (eircode F94PR84) on Wednesday, November 1, from 1pm until 9pm. Removal from there on Thursday, 2nd November 2, going to St. Brigid's Church, Ballintra, for 11am funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. 
House private please at all other times, and on the morning of the funeral. 

Philomena Murray, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Philomena Murray, née Laverty, Trusk Road, Ballybofey, F93 V6X7.

Beloved wife of the late Terence, much loved mother of Irene, Catherine and Declan. Cherished sister of Teresa, Veronica and the late Eileen, Kate, Mary, Bernadette, Gerald, Brian, Charlie, Hughie, Lawrence, and Ann.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment will take place afterwards in St Mary’s Churchyard, Melmount, Strabane. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live  at https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar
