After much speculation, it has been confirmed that O’Hehir’s are to vacate their premises on the Diamond in Donegal Town, and will open a new restaurant in the town.
Dock 84 is set to open in the coming weeks in the premises currently occupied by Furey’s Diner and previously known as the Krusty Kitchen.
It is understood that two other Donegal Town businesses are also on the move, and will jointly take over the O’Hehir’s Bakery premises on the Diamond.
According to O’Hehir’s: “Dock 84 is an upmarket breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant operated by the O'Hehir Family.
“The family run business is renowned for their chain of Bakery Cafes and developed the Dock 84 restaurant concept first in Sligo Town in 2021.
“The classy restaurant has since received great acclaim, delighting droves of customers with its unique and flavoursome menu!
“Due to this popularity, Dock 84 will now open in Donegal Town in the former Fury's Diner premises.”
The company is seeking barista and floor staff, details of which can be found on recruitment platform Indeed.
Management at Furey’s Diners recently shared that they would not be renewing their lease, with inflation and the uncertain financial situation cited as the reasons for their difficult decision.
