Council paves way for former Dungloe bank to become B&B and cafe

Donegal County Council has issued conditional planning permission to Eighter Properties Ltd for the planned works at the old Bank of Ireland building in Dungloe

There are plans to turn a former bank in Dungloe into a bed and breakfast and cafe.

Planning permission will be sought from Donegal County Council by Eighter Properties Ltd for the works at the former Bank of Ireland.

The company is planning to develop the building, on Lower Main Street, Dungloe.

They are seeking the go ahead for a change of use from a bank/financial institution on ground floor level to a cafe.

Under the planning application, submitted to the local authority, Eighter Properties are planning to turn the first and second floors of the building into a bed and breakfast.

The application includes a provision for connections to existing services.

Donegal County Council say that a decision is due by September 10, 2024.
