Storm Bert will continue to dominate our weather through the weekend
Thousands of residents in Donegal have - and still are - experiencing electrical outages due to Storm Bert.

According to the ESB PowerCheck website, overnight, there were 5,112 affected customers in Gweedore; 4,587 in Dungloe, 2,061 at Glenties, 824 between Glencolumcille and Kilcar; 489 in Killybegs; 54 in Ballybofey; 406 in Brockagh; 32 at Drumkeen and in the Letterkenny area - 3,103 from Cullion and 2,599 from Gortlee, as well 349 and Milford north; 345 in Kerrykeel and 1,211 at Rosnakill. In Carndonagh, some 1,483 customers were affected, with 4,736 in Buncrana.
Storm Bert was forecast to bring very strong winds and heavy rain will track northeastwards over the country on Friday night and Saturday morning. Storm Bert will continue to dominate our weather through the weekend and into early next week and further warnings will be issued. The initial advisory of Storm Bert runs from Friday morning, at 4am till Tuesday night.
