Stranorlar burst mains leaves homes without water and causes traffic disruption

Teams are working to repair the burst pipe, with traffic managment in place

Burst mains leads to water being off in Stranorlar

A burst water mains is affecting the water supply to premises in a large area of Stranorlar.

The repairs are also likely to cause traffic disuption.

According to Irish Water: "Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Stranorlar, Admiran Park, Kilross, Tircallan, Lisnaree, Knockagarran, Killynure, Broadpath, Meenavoy, Callan, Callancor, Cloghroe, Lettermore, Midcut and surrounding areas in County Donegal.

"There will be a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works."
Repair works are scheduled to take place until 6pm on Monday January 6.
"We recommend that you allow three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return," said the spokesperson.
