The 100% Redress Party TD said the comments were "a slap in the face for impacted homeowners in Donegal"
Donegal Deputy, Charles Ward, has criticised Minister for Housing, James Browne’s comments on the housing crisis last week, when he stated: "If we solve the housing crisis for Dublin, we solve it for the entire country."
The 100% Redress Party TD said the comments were "a slap in the face for impacted homeowners in Donegal" and asked the Minister to "meet with the people of Donegal and give them the answers that they’re needing."

He continued: "We must listen to those who have been impacted, these are the people who know this crisis first hand and who truly understand what is needed to tackle it. Their voices have been ignored, and their proposed solutions rejected, for far too long. What impacted homeowners are telling us is: the current scheme is a failure."
Deputy Ward also criticised the government’s decision to exclude foundations from remediation and said that naming the scheme the ‘defective concrete blocks scheme’ is an insult to homeowners whose foundations are affected by defective concrete, stating: "This government has chosen to ignore a critical structural element of affected homes, leaving families at serious risk."
