The Rooney Family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed and supported them at the recent fundraiser in memory of their late father PJ  to mark what would have been his 80th birthday.

The event was organised by the Rooney Family and took place on Saturday, October 4, at the Seven Arches Bar in Laghey with all proceeds going to the Patients' Comfort Fund at Donegal Community Hospital.

A big thank you to all the businesses who donated and sponsored the spot prizes for the auction and raffle. To everyone who bought tickets and all the volunteers who helped out on the night, thank you. Finally thank you to the Seven Arches for hosting the event and to everyone who came along on the night.

Your contribution was invaluable to making it such a huge success and your support is greatly appreciated.

A total of €24,520.00 was raised at the event with all proceeds going to the Patients' Comfort Fund at Donegal Community Hospital.

A spokesperson for Donegal Community Hospital said: “On behalf of the staff, patients, and families at Donegal Community Hospital, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation.
