A son of Barry and Megan Curran from St Johnston, Daibhin was diagnosed with myocarditis and cardiomyopathy
A fundraising dance is set to take place in St Johnston next month in support of young Daibhín Curran and his family, as the local community comes together to offer help during a difficult time.
The 21-month-old has been receiving around-the-clock care over the last couple of weeks and is now in Newcastle.

A son of Barry and Megan Curran from St Johnston, Daibhin was diagnosed with myocarditis and cardiomyopathy. Daibhin is also battling with rhinovirus and parvovirus infections.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Maggie’s Tavern, with all proceeds going directly to support Daibhín’s family.
Music on the night will be provided by Ryan Lynch, a contestant in TG4's Glór Tíre competition, who is expected to draw a strong crowd for what organisers hope will be an enjoyable and well-supported evening. Doors will open at 8.30pm, with dancing getting underway at 9.30pm sharp.
