The letter was delivered despite only having an email address to go by
A letter posted with only an email address on the envelope has been delivered successfully.
The team at Sliabh Liag Distillers took to Facebook to praise An Post for putting in the extra effort to ensure the letter was delivered.
A spokesperson posted on the Sliabh Liag Distillers Facebook page: "Stellar work as always from the guys and gals at An Post. This letter made it safely to our office in Carrick!
"But did the sender mean to email us instead....? I suppose we'll never know..."
The use of the email address on the envelope begs the question: Have letter writing and 'snail mail' become so obsolete that there are now people who don't actually realise that a postal address and an email address work in very different ways?
