Letterkenny pupils raise €2,100 towards Red Cross Appeal in Ukraine

Pupils at Ballyraine NS Letterkenny decided to abandon their school uniforms for St Patrick's Day and searchd out their best ‘Green' fashion items from the wardrobe to celebrate the festival.

The pupils have been very aware of the war and human suffering in Ukraine in recent days and they wanted to do something to help and support.

Blue skies, smiling faces, and a sea of green heralded the St Patrick’s Day holiday on their ‘Go Green for Ukraine Day’.

Donations kept pouring in throughout the day and a massive €2,100 was raised through the generosity of parents, staff, and pupils. The donations have now been given to The Irish Red Cross Appeal in Ukraine.
