A man believed to be assaulted in Letterkenny by a stranger was taken to hospital on Halloween night.
On Saturday, October 31, at approximately 7:40pm Gardaí were on patrol near the Hospital Roundabout in Letterkenny when they observed a male teenager lying in a bush near the entrance to the Town Park.
Two members of the public were attempting to assist him as he had sustained an injury. It is believed that he may have been assaulted by a male who was unknown to him at that location. He was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
“We appeal to anyone who may have travelled in that area between 7pm and 7.45pm with a dash-cam to make the footage available to Gardaí,” Garda Gerard McNamee of Letterkenny Garda Station said. “If anyone can offer relevant information, they are asked to contact Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100.”
