Gritters will be out on five Donegal routes as temperatures drop

Parts of the county can expect freezing conditions overnight

Weather forecast: Wrap up  - widespread severe frost on the way with a possibility of snow

Gritters will be in action in Donegal early on Thursday morning

Donegal has been enjoying a reprise from the icy conditions but that is set to change overnight, at least in some parts of the county.

Donegal County Council's gritters will be in action from 6am on Thursday on five routes:

01: National Primary North
02: National Primary Central
09: Cill Ulta East
12: Binswilly
14: Stranorlar East

Motorists across the county are advised to drive with caution and to assume that no road is ice free.
