Drivers caught speeding close to scene of recent Louth fatal crash

Buncrana Roads Policing Unit detected a vehicle travelling at 134 kph in a speed zone of 100 kph this morning, Sunday, in the Newtowncunningham area.

The driver will now have to pay a fine of €160 and will also receive 3 penalty points. Gardaí say that weather conditions have been very poor lately and most road surfaces are wet and possibly slippery as a result of recent rain. 

The appealed to all road users to save lives and slow down.
