Caolan Irwin in action at Bishopscourt
Caolan Irwin leads the way in the Ulster Superbikes Supertwin Championships after a successful weekend at Bishopscourt.
Irwin had a double header in the Supertwin category.
An overcast opening day saw the Kilmacrennan rider qualify on poke ahead of reigning champion Elkin.
Backing up his strong pace he took the win in race one with a P2 in race two.
Day two again saw grey skies making tyre choice difficult but the rain stayed away and Irwin again took pole position for the races.
Another win followed while he had a narrow P2 finish in the second race as the rain started to fall.
Irwin ended the weekend on a high and still topping the Championship leaderboard,
“I am delighted with my pace this weekend and to continue to lead the Championship,” Kerr said.
“The RK Racing/Burrows engineering Aprilia is absolutely on the limit against the more powerful Triumph so even the smallest of mistakes can cost big on the track.

“Thanks to all my sponsors and the team that worked hard for the two day meeting here in Bishopscourt."
