Young Donegal karting star Jayden McElhinney finishes third in British Championship

Overall, McElhinney, who competed against some of the most talented drivers in the UK and Ireland, placed third in the Championship after a second-place finish at Whilton Mill

Manorcunningham karting prospect Jayden McElhinney finished the Wera Tools British Karting Championship in style.

Competing at Whilton Mill, McElhinney was back on the podium to complete a stunning debut year in the UK.

Overall, McElhinney, who competed against some of the most talented drivers in the UK and Ireland, placed third in the Championship.

At Whilton Mill, McElhinney placed second in the final after qualifying in P5. 

In his heats on day two he was P4 and P3.

McElhinney is now looking forward to the British Karting Championship awards, which take place in Silverstone in November. Last year’s awards were attended by some of the world’s leading F1 drivers.

McElhinney’s team have extended their thanks to DMS Kart Team and Shox Performance for their assistance as well as his loyal band of sponsors and supporters. 

His performances in Whilton Mill came a week after McElhinney won the IRL Plate in the Rotax round in Athboy.
