Joshua Henry had his first year in professional motorsport
Donegal teenager Joshua Henry says he hopes to hit back in 2026 to challenge for podiums.
The 15-year-old from Inver had his debut season in professional motorsport, having just completed a term in the Ginetta Junior Championship.
Racing on some of the UK’s most iconic circuits, including Silverstone, and even tackling the legendary Zandvoort F1 Circuit in Europe, Henry has shown great promise so far. The season ended at Donington.
Last year, he was the youngest ever nominee for the Sexton Trophy, off the back of winning the ICCR Junior Mini Challenge.
In 2025, Henry demonstrated steady progress both on and off the track throughout the season. Despite limited pre-season testing, he consistently battled within the top 10, securing a best finish of P11 and multiple P12 results.

“This season has been a massive learning curve, but also an amazing experience,” the youngster said.
“I’ve learned so much from the team and from racing wheel-to-wheel with some of the best young drivers in the world. I’m confident that with the experience i gained this year, I can challenge for podiums next year.”
