Letterkenny AC and Finn Valley AC return to the European stage this weekend.
Letterkenny's senior women and Finn Valley's juior women's team will compete at the European Club Cross Country Championships (ECCC) in Oropesa del Mar in Spain.
Last year in Oerias, Letterkenny finished as ninth senior with Finn Valley sixth in the junior section.
LAC will travel without star turn Ann-Marie McGlynn. Last weekend, McGlynn won the Rahney 5 Mile and in December was a member of the bronze-winning Ireland team at the European Cross Country in Italy.
Natasha Adams, Nakita Burke, Shauna McGeehan and Noeleen Scanlan form the Letterkenny selection.
In the 2022 version, Burke finished 25th and was the first of the Letterkenny runners home in 24:02.
Adams, Burke and Scanlan ran last year, when LAC also competed without the in-form McGlynn.
Sarah Bradley, Nuala Bose and Eimear McCarroll are again in action having participated last year.
Twelve months ago Bradley led the way for Finn Valley with a 12th place finish, coming home in 15:37.
Bradley, Bose and McCarroll arej oinedby Amy Greene and Sally McMenamin wit Sinead Kenny travelling as manager.
In total, 399 athletes from 77 clubs across 22 countries will battle it out for club honours at one of the longest-standing and most established cross country fixtures on the athletics calendar.
