Rachael Darragh loses out in last 16 in Uganda

Rachael Darragh bowed out at the last 16 phase of the Uganda International Challenge.

The Raphoe woman lost out 21-19 21-19 against Anwesha Gowda from India.

Darragh was the fourth seed for the women's singles competition in Kampala.

Her bid began with a 21-11 21-19 win over Nour Ahmed Youssri of Egypt in the opening round.

Gowda, who started with a come-from-behind 16-21 21-15 21-19 win over Peruvian Fernando Saponara Rivva edged out the Donegal player in the round of 16.

Darragh has been competing well of late and this represents further international experience.
