Mitchell McLaughlin (inset) was in action in Italy.
On a day when Drumkeen cyclist Mitchell McLaughlin made an encouraging debut in international para-cycling, Katie-George Dunlevy secured her latest gold.
At the Maniago Para-cycling World Cup in Italy, Dunlevy took gold alongside Linda Kelly in the women’s tandem time trial.
A fine performance by Dunlevy and Kelly saw them surge to gold with fellow Irish pair Josephine Healion and Eve McCrystal finishing in fourth.
Dunlevy’s father John hails from Mountcharles. At the Paralympics in Tokyo, she won two golds and a silver having won a gold and silver at the previous edition in Rio.
McLaughlin piloted Waterford’s Damien Vereker in the men’s tandem time trial. The duo finished in sixth spot on their first competitive outing together.
McLaughlin has previously cycled as a pro, with Zappi Racing Team and EvoPro Racing.
Dunlevy and Kelly will take to the road race on Sunday with McLaughlin and Vereker taking part in the men’s version.
