Nakita Burke won the 2023 Vhi Women's Mini Marathon on Sunday.
The Letterkenny AC woman led the a field of over 20,000 women in scorching heat in 34 minutes and 27 seconds.
Two Donegal athletes were inside the top three with Finn Valley AC's Teresa Doherty coming home third in 34:58.
Clonmel AC's Courtney McGuire was in between Burke and Doherty, finishing in 34:33.
This was the 41st year of the event, which since its inception has raised over €226 million for charities in Ireland.

Title sponsors Vhi also announced that they have extended their title sponsorship of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon for a further three years.
Burke's winning of the 41st Women's Mini Marathon continues a fine sequence of form for the Slieve Sneacht woman.
In May, Burke was the silver medallist in the women's 3,000m at the Belfast Irish Milers Meet when crossing the line in 9:28.27.
A few weeks earlier, Burke won the Hugh Gallagher Memorial 5k in Milford, shattering the course record in the process, clocking 16:14 and shaving 29 seconds off her winning time from 2022.
In March, Burke was victorious in the Deep River Rock Queen's 5k in Belfast, winning in 16:23.
