Sunday’s planned Donegal Senior Relays and Juvenile Short Course Cross Country has been cancelled.
The event was due to be hosted by Inishowen AC at the Carndonagh GAA club grounds at Foden.
However, heavy overnight rainfall has left parts of the course flooded.
Donegal athletics chiefs have taken the decision to cancel.
“With several more hours of rainfall forecasted the course would not recover in time,” a spokesperson said.
“Thank you to Carndonagh GAA Club for the offer of your facilities to Donegal Athletics.”
The event was originally scheduled to have taken place on November 26 in Stranorlar.
