Matthew Friel, right, lands a blow
Matthew Friel will make his professional MAA debut at Clan Wars 49 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast on Saturday, March 9.
The Killea native is scheduled to take on octagon veteran Jamie McAleese. Friel steps up to the pro ranks having previously held both the Clan Wars flyweight title as well as the Cage Warriors Academy belt as well as the Akuma fly and bantamweight straps in the not-too-distant past.
Friel - a Computer Science graduate - fights out of Combat Jujitsu in Derry.
