Finn Valley’s Sinead McConnell landed double medal triumph at European Masters

Sinead McConnell took an individual silver in a new Irish record

Finn Valley’s Sinead McConnell was on the podium today again winning two more medals at the European Masters in Torun Poland. 

She took an individual silver in a new Irish W55 record of 27:16 in the 5k race walk, beating the 2007 mark of 31:53. Sinead would also lead the Irish to team bronze behind France and Germany. 

On Tuesday Sinead won a silver medal in the 3k indoor event. 

Meanwhile, Garvin Boyce landed a new personal best in his M50 1,500m heat, where he clocked a time of 5:14.06 despite missing out on a place in the final at Arena Toruń.
