There will be a sizeable Donegal interest in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the county has a proud history of people from Donegal or people who were attached to its sports clubs competing at the Olympics.

This year, swimmer Mona McSharry - a native of Grange who competes with Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon - Raphoe badminton player Rachael Darragh and athletes Kelly McGrory of Tir Chonaill AC and Mark English, attached to Finn Valley AC, will take part

McSharry and English have competed at previous editions of the Olympics and are among a storied list of names
