Joshua Magee, playing alongside Moya Ryan, won a silver medal at the Polish International.

Raphoe Badminton Club's Magee, and Ryan, who hails from County Clare, bagged mixed doubles silver.

Kristoffer Kolding and Mette Werge from Norway took victory in Sunday’s final, defeating the Irish pair 21-15 21-18.

The third seeds for the tournament, Magee and Ryan opened with a 21-8 21-14 win over Sweden’s Jesper Borgstedt and Ronan Olyaee.

Tobias Ronbog and Maria Sogard Andersen were beaten 21-18 21-11 in the second round before they were handed a walkover following the withdrawal of the Polish duo Wiktor Trecki and Paulina Haankiewicz.

Magee and Ryan disposed of the Polish second seeds, Jakub Melaniuk and Julia Plawecka, with a 22-20 21-11 win in the semi-final.

Their voyage in Lublin ended in defeat, however, as Kolding and Werge, earned the gold.
