Callum Devine and Noel O'Sullivan celebrate their Harvest Rally win

Derry man Callum Devine once again reigned supreme in the north west winning the Donegal Harvest Rally, which was staged on the outskirts of Letterkenny on Saturday afternoon.

Devine with his co-driver Noel O’Sullivan from Kerry, in a Skoda Rally 2 had 12.4 seconds to spare on second-placed finisher Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty in their Hyundai I 20.

That prolific combination led the rally from ramp to ramp and set the pace for most of thenine stages.

It was a four-in-a-row Harvest wins for Devine and also a second clean sweep of Donegal’s big two rallies - the International and the Harvest events.

Josh Moffett had recovered from a slow start to climb up the leaderboard with a steady drive in difficult conditions with rain and strong wind present in the morning.

That second-placed finish was enough to clinch the overall Triton Showers National Championship for Moffett.

Michael Boyle and Dermot McCafferty, in their Polo, were the highest-placed Donegal finishers.

They shared third place with Desi Henry and Shane Byrne in the Citroen C3 R2  car. Boyle and Henry finished on the same time.

It was a very good outing for Michael Boyle and Dermot McCafferty as they set a fastest time over Carnhill in the morning loop and followed that up with the second-fastest time over Carnill.

Kevin Eves with Chris Melly in a Ford Fiesta, are another all-Donegal crew that should be happy with their outing as the Pettigo driver finished in a very credible fifth place overall.

Kevin Gallagher and Ryan Moore in their Darrian T 90 GTR finished in seventh place overall and streaked home to win the Modified second of the rally.

Their seventh-placed finish also clinched the National Modified Championship for the Rathmullen driver.

Declan Gallagher - with John McCarthy calling the notes - should be very happy to make it into the top ten in their first time out in their Ford Fiesta Rally 2 car.

Other Donegal crews that finished in the top 20 included Declan Boyle and Patrick Walsh in a Skoda R2  and Joseph McGonagle and Ciaran Geaney in a Citroen C3 R2,  finishing in 13th and 14th places respectively.

Finally, Conor Harvey and Eamon Doherty in their Mark 2 Escort finished in 18th place.
