Matthew McCole will face Eugene McKeever in a National Elite quarter-final next week.
The Illies Golden Gloves light-middleweight has been drawn against the beaten finalist from last year.
A testing path for McCole sees the winner of his bout with McKeever - who defeated the Donegal puncher at the semi-final stage last year - slated to face Jon McConnell in a semi-final.
Dungloe native McCole is the sole Donegal entrant for the 2025 National Elite Championships, which glove off from next Monday, November 11, at the National Stadium.
McCole won the Ulster Elite crown in January.
Illies southpaw McCole beat McConnell in January’s Ulster Elite light-middleweight final in Belfast.
Former Olympic Games bronze medallist Aidan Walsh was among the other 71kgs entrants, but has since withdrawn.
The IABA has directed that boxers who enter the 2025 National Elite Championships but who cannot compete through injury are required to furnish a medical statement of injury to the National Secretary, Antoinette Fay McClean.
Mc McKeever from Holy Family in Drogheda reached last year’s final, but lost out to Dean Walsh, who is set to make his professional debut next month.

Wayne Kelly (Ballynacargy) and Darragh Gilroy (Fr Flanagans) are scheduled to meet in the other light-middleweight semi-final.
The National Elite finals will take place at the National Stadium on Friday-week, November 15.
