Oisín Ó Gailín competes in Boston
Ballybofey man Oisín Ó Gailín clocked a new Donegal record at the weekend in the United States as he attempts to move into qualification territory for the European Indoor Championships.
Competing in Boston, Finn Valley AC man Ó Gailín finished an indoor 3,000m in 7:52.14.
Ó Gailín placed seventh in his season opening race at the Boston University Track and Tennis Centre.
His new personal best for the event is both a new record at club and county level.
The 27-year-old, who is based in Wyoming, will look to bring his time down to sub-7:50 to come into contention for the European Indoors.
The 2025 European Indoor Championships take place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands from March 6-9.
