Oisín Ó Gailín clocked his latest Donegal record in the United States.

The Finn Valley AC man set a new best over 5k on the road when competing in the Boston 5k.

Ó Gailín finished in 14:02 to finish 11th and take out Danny McDaid’s long-standing 14:04 record.

The Ballybofey man has been in fine fettle of late.

Earlier this month, Ó Gailín, who is now based in Wyoming, broke Gary Murray’s 5000m record from 2005 (13:44.62) on the track when he finished in 13:41.69 at the Stanford Invitational in California.

Back in December, Ó Gailín set a new Donegal indoor 3000m record of 7:52.14.
